Cricket Campus Rail Tour : U of Washingt
Location:
University of Washington | Seattle
Description:
During our formative undergraduate years at college, the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour Crew had a lot of "sick" days. We can't remember what the Krebs cycle is or who fought in the Franco-Prussian War, but our backlips were downright scholarly. Now, with degrees in shred and other stuff, Cricket and Galvanic Design is proud to support snowboard curriculum with the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour. In 2008, the Tour will make stops at 14 colleges in seven states, where pro and am riders will session the rail setup. Merging physics (pretzel out?), economics (prize purse), fine arts (waxin' the one's and two's), and medicine (risks are inherent in snowboarding), the tour will bring snowboarding off the hill and right into the middle of college campuses.
With support from Cricket Wireless, Fuel TV, Snowboarder Magazine, Clif Bar, Giro, and Spyder 2008 is going to be the best year for the Tour yet. The Tour is partnering with Boulder Freeride, one of the largest collegiate snowboard and ski clubs in the nation, to kick off the tour at the University of Colorado at Boulder on February 7th at 6 PM in the Norlin Quad.
The Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour will be disrupting class through May, with the five best in class from each stop receiving an invite to the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour Championship at Portland State University on May 23rd with a cash purse of $5000. Registration for the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour is open.
